Grondwerk

LEVELLING OR GRADING GROUND FOR SUBSTRATES, CULTURAL FLOORS AND TIDE AND FLOOD FLOORS

Over the past thirty years, Marel Loonwerk has built up a wealth of experience as a contracting company within and outside horticulture in levelling the soil for substrate cultivation, culture floors and ebb and flood floors. With our modern levelling machines, equipped with double receivers, we can meet every wish: a flat floor, a floor with a slope or a floor with a roof profile. By using the latest techniques, you are assured of minimum tolerances. You can also contact Marel Loonwerk for the construction of a horse box. Levelling inside and outside horticulture is specialist work. We have levelling boards from 195 cm to 300 cm wide.

CULTIVATION IN PREPARATION FOR MILLING AND LEVELLING

Cultivating the soil is an excellent solution for new construction to break up the hard soil to a maximum depth of 60 centimetres. This in order to be able to mill and level in a smooth manner. Cultivation is also used for soil-bound crops to break up disruptive soil layers. This creates a cultivation layer that is well permeable. As a contracting company, we are a player with a lot of experience in cultivating soil as part of our work in earthworks.

MILLING IN FULL GROUND AND ON NEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

In order to obtain a finer soil structure in new construction projects, the soil is milled after it has been cultivated. With our large Fendt tractors equipped with 300 cm Alpego cutters, we can mill large surfaces quickly and decisively. Also for growers in the open ground, the soil is made finer by milling it. This creates an ideal seedbed in which the new plants can be planted. We have several types of milling machines, ranging from 55 cm to 300 cm wide.

PROFILE FOR THE RIGHT TRENCHES IN CULTURE FLOORS

For the correct installation of culture floors, a good drainage ditch is necessary to collect the excess water for recirculation. Our specialists ensure the perfect installation of drainage trenches in the culture floor! Drain profiling can also be used for greenhouse horticulture companies that opt for substrate cultivation on the ground.

ROTATING GROUND

The soil is ground finely by means of vertical, counter-rotating pins or knives. It is a good pre-treatment to be able to level the soil optimally. Rotating is especially an option if there may be some debris in the ground. Marel Loonwerk provides various earthwork jobs throughout the Netherlands, including levelling, cultivating, milling, profiling, turning, rotating and rolling.

TURNING SOILS FOR HORTICULTURE AND AGRICULTURE

Turning is a good technique to improve the permeability of soil layers. Our turners are fully adapted to your efficiency requirements. Soil layers are turned to a depth of thirty to fifty centimetres. As a result, hardened layers that disrupt drainage are quickly eliminated. By turning soil layers, any steam treatment during the crop change is also many times more effective.

ROLLING OF SOIL FOR SUBSTRATE CULTIVATION AND TEMPORARY CULTIVATION

Rolling is a good option to further compact the soil after a previous treatment. The soil is pressed or rolled with a roller to compact it. This processing is mainly used for substrate cultivation, culture floors and for temporary crops such as bedding plants and potted plants. In addition to rolling, Marel Loonwerk can perform many other types of earthwork, such as levelling, cultivating, milling, turning, rotating and profiling.
